Norwood’s Heritage is not nearly as protected as you might think or hope.

The area continues to be losing our valuable unlisted historic buildings, typically just for ‘one for one’ replacements.

Back in 1995 the Council embarked on identifying Contributory Buildings for protection but never were able to complete the listings, for reasons unknown,
so they remain largely unprotected to this day.

I believe that Norwood can achieve population growth without losing the very buildings and character that attract people to the area.
